"Can Massa, an oasis of tranquility, an old farmhouse in a small medieval village near Salvador Dalí’s castle in Púbol"
Rural house in Baix Empordà
Can Massa is an old peasant farmer´s house formed by the main house and several stables and granaries that surround the inner courtyard. There is a porch where table-tennis, badminton and volleyball can be practised. The house has six rooms, two drawing-rooms for guests, one of which has a fireplace, music, television set and parlour games. It keeps some old tools which are part of the decoration. The house is situated between the regions of Baix Empordà and Gironès, at the foot of the massif of the Gavarres and near to the beach.

This is a quaint establishment in a beautiful village close to many great locations of the Costa Brava. The hosts are extremely friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view. Upstairs and downstairs there are great dining and lounge areas at which we met other guests and had a great time. The house that Dali bought for his wife, Gala, is very close by and a must see in the area. Breakfast was sumptuous and very Spannish.

Stayed for 3 nights Nov 2005. We were made very welcome by Josep & his wife. The breakfasts were great. The room was extremely comfortable & warm. We particularly enjoyed the log fires in the guest lounge in the evenings & the dominoes! Also the street market in Le Bisbal on Friday morning was particularly good. Thank you family Massa for a wonderful stay. See you again soon!

Wendi and I spent three nights at Can Massa in September 2005. As soon as we arrived, Carmin and Joseph welcomed us as if we were family. Filling us with breakfast (we had not eaten since arriving from France) and giving us directions to interesting areas. We were up-graded to a larger room at their insistance, and told that whatever we needed, we just had to ask. What a wonderful home they have, and they are willing to share it with us. Thank you with all of our hearts, Carmin and Joseph and kids. We will be back.
